Someone once asked me, "How does a security supervisor come to find herself in writing? I'm fascinated!"A drastic shift? Yes. My answer was simple, "Writing was always with me, I never not wrote. I just relished in incident report writing more than being screamed at. Just call me an English Girl living in a Security World..."After working security for nearly 14 years and graduating with my B.S. in Professional Communications, I published my debut novel, Secrets of the City of Gold in 2021.When my chapter in security came to an end, there was only one thing to do...and that was to write.

It All Started with a Joke...
So there I am, talking with my Season 5 Copy Posse friends and colleagues. Imposter Syndrome and People Pleasing hang over our heads as we discuss blockades that keep us from reaching our fullest potential.We all took the same course, learned the same skill, felt good about ourselves and what we were capable of....I knew they couldn’t see me leaning back in my chair, pursing my lips and narrowing my eyes as I made a sassy remark, “We should host a funeral. Just bury People Pleasing.” And be done with it.Finality. Say goodbye. Not allow it to follow us into this next chapter of our lives.A friendly challenge had me really pondering and putting thought into what was supposed to be a joke. A joke that took shape before my eyes.And their response?"Where's the sales page?? I'll sign up right now!"
The first event took place on 06/29/24.When members signed up for this free event they received:
1. Handbooks
2. Templates
3. Access to a Private Facebook Group [now closed]
4. Weekly emails.
5. A ripping ceremony to release the selves that no longer served.
6. A Pandora's Box exercise that tucked away those nasty feelings that associated with the self that no longer served.
7. A copy of the recording after the event.
8. A breathwork and progressive muscle technique exercise to loosen them up.But funny how far a joke went? I'm still in awe!
Between training and life experience, I believe that all things should be led with understanding, empathy, and compassion. There's simply no wiggle room to be cruel when people are trying to overcome personal afflictions.I am a believer.
